The artwork for my logo came from a greeting card by artist
Marjolein Bastin.
Her work can be seen in the Nature's Sketchbook line of
greeting cards at Hallmark
Cards.
In 1996 I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in
Music Education (Vocal), but I quickly found out a degree does not always a career
choice make. I knew from the start that I wanted to stay in the Shenandoah Valley,
and after graduation ended up taking a job outside of music. I was a little
disappointed at first, but I soon realized that there were a lot of other things I
was interested in and did very well. I then decided that I would continue to pursue
music, no longer as a job, but as a side line to my job. Until recently, I was working
at James Madison University, in the Office of Resource Planning, but now I am
staying home with our son and infant daughter. I have to say, my new bosses are much cuter, but just
as demanding.
Music is still a very
important part of my life, and I still try to challenge myself by learning and
experiencing new music in my spare time.
